300 g peas

10 leaves fresh mint finely sliced
½ teaspoon salt or to taste
1 tablespoons Chillitos chilli Flakes

1. Place the peas in a saucepan and cover with boiling water from the kettle.
1. Bring back to the boil and then simmer the peas until they are done how you like them. (Roughly 2-3 minutes).
2. Drain the peas. leave a couple of tablespoons of the cooking water in the pan.
3. Return the peas to the pan, but do not put the pan back on the heat.
4. Lightly mash the peas, using a potato masher, but not all of the peas to be a little mashed.
5. Add the mint, salt and Chillitos chilli Flakes, and stir to combine.
6. Serve with rice, pasta, potato, and Nsima.
